I had lunch with nine friends to celebrate my milestone birthday. Everyone in my party seemed really pleased, since the restaurant and decor are beautiful, and everyone was pleased with their meals. The server asked if we wanted drinks and everyone said they were fine with water. The server seemed a bit disappointed, and she didn’t check in with us as much as I had expected during our visit. I mentioned my birthday, but there was no candle on my dessert when she brought it out. She was a competent server, but for a large party such as ours, I had expected a more engaging server.
